背面描述 Central field features the votive inscription VOT X arranged on two lines within a laurel wreath tied at the base, the whole enclosed by an outer circular legend. The wreath, a symbol of victory and celebration, frames the vow commemorating the tenth anniversary of Constantine II's caesarship. The surrounding legend CAESARVM NOSTRORVM VOT · X encircles the wreath, proclaiming the decennial vows of the Caesars. The mint mark Q★AR appears in the exergue, denoting the fourth officina of the Arelatum mint. The reverse field shows typical wear and patination consistent with circulation.

附加信息

Struck at Arelatum (modern Arles) during the uneasy co-regency that followed the defeat of Licinius in 324, this votive issue commemorates the decennial vows — the vota — pledged on behalf of Constantine II as Caesar. The VOT X formula was aspirational, not retrospective; it expressed the prayer that the young Caesar would reach ten years of rule, a standard piece of imperial political theatre pressed into bronze at regional mints across the west.

RIC VII 256 places this firmly within Arelatum's output under the reorganized mint structure Constantine imposed after consolidating sole rule. The Arles mint had been established by Constantine himself around 313, making it one of the newer western officinae.
