Reverse description The she-wolf (lupa romana) standing left with head reverted, suckling the twin infants Romulus and Remus who recline beneath her. Two stars appear in the upper field, one on each side, evoking divine protection over the founders of Rome. The mint mark SMALB is placed in the exergue, denoting the Alexandria mint, second officina. The reverse type revives the founding myth of Rome as part of Constantine I's commemorative coin series.
