| Descrizione del dritto | Laureate bust of Constantine I facing right, depicted with a robust, idealized portrait in the late Roman imperial style. The emperor wears a laurel wreath with multiple tiers of leaves bound by a diadem, and is shown with a draped and cuirassed bust. The obverse legend CONSTANTINVS AVG runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan, separated from the bust by a beaded border. The strong, forward-facing profile conveys imperial authority, with detailed engraving of the facial features and hair characteristic of the Heraclean workshop of this period. |
