Obverse description Helmeted, laureate, and cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, depicted in imperial military attire with elaborately articulated armour visible at the shoulder and chest. The crested helmet is adorned with a laurel wreath, lending the emperor a combined military and civic authority. The portrait is rendered in a vigorous, high-relief style characteristic of Constantinian Treveri workshop production. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG, identifying the emperor in full titulature.
