RIC VII Lugdunum 79 belongs to a dense issue celebrating the twin Victories who appear on the reverse — propaganda tied directly to Constantine's ongoing war against Licinius, which would culminate in the battle of Chrysopolis in 324. The Lugdunum mint was one of the westernmost in the empire and heavily active during this period precisely because Constantine spent considerable time in Gaul consolidating his western base before moving east.
