Obverse description Laureate, cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, depicted with fine detail in the military cuirass rendered with incised linear decoration. The laureate wreath frames the emperor's profile with characteristic Constantinian portraiture style. The obverse legend runs clockwise around the periphery within a beaded border. The emperor's strong, idealised features reflect the emerging late antique imperial portrait convention, with a prominent jaw and close-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath.
