| Beschrijving keerzijde | Sol Invictus, the unconquered Sun god, depicted standing facing left in the field, nude or semi-draped, raising his right hand in a gesture of salutation and holding a globe in his left hand. The reverse legend SOLI INVICTO COMITI runs around the periphery, affirming Sol as the divine companion of the emperor. In the exergue, the mint mark MOSTQ identifies this issue as the product of the fourth officina of the Ostia mint. A captive or trophy figure may appear at the god's feet, consistent with the standard type for RIC VI 91. |
