| Beschrijving keerzijde | Victory, winged and draped, advancing briskly to the right, carrying a trophy over her right shoulder while pressing down upon a seated Sarmatian captive with her left hand. The captive is depicted in a posture of submission at the lower right of the field, evoking Roman triumph over the Sarmatian peoples following the campaigns of 322–323 AD. The reverse legend SARMATIA DEVICTA, meaning 'Sarmatia conquered,' is divided across the field on either side of the central figure. The mint mark appears in the exergue, identifying the Treveri officina responsible for striking the piece. |
