Beneath her feet, a seated barbarian captive is trampled, symbolising Roman dominance over the Sarmatian peoples. The reverse legend SARMATIA - DEVICTA is disposed in two registers flanking the central figure, and the exergue carries the Londinium mint mark PLON followed by a crescent.
