The martial deity is rendered in a static, frontal-facing posture consistent with late Roman numismatic convention. The reverse legend MARTI CONSERVATORI, meaning 'To Mars the Protector,' flanks the figure in the field with the officina letter T to the left and F to the right. The mintmark PTR (Prima officina, Treveri) appears in the exergue, confirming production at the Trier mint. |
