| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Constantine I facing right, draped and cuirassed, depicted with characteristic square-jawed portrait style of the early Constantinian period. The emperor's effigy is rendered in bold relief with finely engraved radial lines forming the laurel wreath. The Latin obverse legend IMP CONSTANTINVS P F AVG runs along the beaded border, reading clockwise from the lower left. The overall style reflects the late Tetrarchic artistic tradition still prevalent at the Siscia mint in 312 AD. |
