Reverse description Two helmeted and armored soldiers standing facing one another, each leaning on a spear and resting a hand upon a shield set at their feet. Between them stand two legionary standards, each decorated with a series of roundels and surmounted by a crossbar and finial, the characteristic two-standard variant of the GLORIA EXERCITVS type. The legend GLORIA EXERCITVS arcs across the upper field in Latin capitals. In the exergue, the mint mark TRP• (first officina) or TRS• (second officina) identifies the Treveri workshop. The composition is compact and symmetrical, executed in the schematized military style typical of Constantinian bronze coinage.
