| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two helmeted soldiers standing facing one another, each figure clad in military attire and holding a reversed spear in the outer hand and a grounded shield in the inner hand; a single vexillum standard is positioned centrally between them. The reverse type belongs to the reduced 'one standard' variant of the GLORIA EXERCITVS series, introduced c. 335 AD. The exergue bears the mint mark SMN with officina letter, identifying the Nicomedia workshop. The legend GLORIA EXERCITVS is distributed in two lines across the upper and lower field. |
