| Reverse description | The Genius of the Roman People stands facing left in a classically composed, full-length figure. He wears a modius (grain measure) on his head and is depicted nude save for a chlamys draped over his left shoulder. In his left hand he holds a cornucopiae, symbol of abundance, while his outstretched right hand presents a patera from which a libation flows downward. The exergue and field carry the mint mark Γ • SM • SD •, identifying the third officina of the Serdica mint, with the surrounding legend GENIO POPVLI ROMANI dedicating the type to the Genius of the Roman People. |
