| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of Constantine I, rendered in the imperial style with a rosette diadem, draped paludamentum, and cuirass, presented in three-quarter relief. The emperor's portrait displays the characteristic idealized physiognomy of the Constantinian period, with a firm jawline and prominent nose. The circumferential Latin legend is arranged around the periphery of the flan, separated by a beaded border. The die work reflects the accomplished engraving tradition of the Arelate mint workshop during the early 330s. |
