The mintmark SMRP or SMRS appears in the exergue, denoting the Sacra Moneta Romae with the first or second officina of the Rome mint respectively. The wreath is tied at its base with a simple knot, consistent with Constantinian votive nummi of this period. The field is plain, with the bold, deeply incised lettering characteristic of Rome mint production circa AD 326. |
