Reverse description Victory standing left upon the prow of a galley (prora), her wings spread, holding a sceptre in her right hand and resting her left hand upon a grounded oval shield. The composition commemorates naval victory and imperial power, echoing Hellenistic iconographic tradition. The exergue bears the mintmark TRP• identifying the first officina of the Treveri (Augusta Treverorum) mint. No reverse legend appears in the field, the type relying entirely on the Victory-on-prow imagery for its commemorative message.
