Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Constantinus I as Caesar facing right, with paludamentum (military cloak) draped over the left shoulder, rendered in high relief in the late Tetrarchic style. The effigy displays a youthful, idealized portrait with closely cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath, characteristic of early Constantinian portraiture from the Londinium mint. The encircling legend reads FL VAL CONSTANTINVS NOB C, identifying the emperor as Flavius Valerius Constantinus, most noble Caesar. The legend is rendered in sharp Latin capitals distributed evenly around the periphery, framed by an inner beaded border.
