Obverse description Laureate, helmeted, and cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, depicted in a highly detailed military style with articulated pteryges visible at the shoulder. The emperor's head is adorned with a crested helmet decorated with a plume, and the cuirass is finely rendered with decorative fittings. The encircling Latin legend IMP CONSTANTINVS AVG runs clockwise around the effigy, separated from the beaded border. The portrait conveys imperial authority characteristic of the Constantinian workshop at Treveri.
