| Obverse description | Laureate head of Constantine I facing right, with finely rendered hair arranged in parallel ridges beneath a laurel wreath tied at the nape. The emperor's strong profile is rendered in the late Roman imperial style, with a prominent jaw and idealized features. The bust is draped and cuirassed, facing right. The encircling Latin legend reads CONSTAN-TINVS AVG or CONSTA-NTINVS AVG, divided on either side of the effigy. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
