Each figure extends her right hand proffering a wreath toward the other, while holding a palm branch in her left hand — emblems of military triumph and imperial glory. The letter F appears in the central field between the two figures, serving as an officina or control mark. The encircling legend VICTORIAE DD AVGG Q NN proclaims the victories of the two reigning emperors, Constans and Constantius II. Mint and officina marks are placed in the exergue, identifying the Aquileia mint. |
