Reverse description Standing frontal figure of Securitas, helmeted and in military dress, holding a spear or standard in her right hand and resting her left hand upon a column or shield to her right; the composition conveys imperial security and martial vigilance. The figure is rendered in the schematic, somewhat stylised manner typical of late Roman bronze issues struck at Rome. The reverse legend SECVRITAS REIP encircles the field. The mintmark, incorporating the officina letter, appears in the exergue.
