Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constans I facing right, wearing a pearl diadem with a single row of beads. The emperor's portrait is rendered in the late Constantinian style, with a youthful profile and firm jaw. The circumferential legend reads CONSTANS AVG, divided across the field as CONSTA-NS AVG. The bust is positioned centrally within the coin's flan, with fine drapery visible at the shoulder.

Reverse description Two helmeted soldiers standing facing one another, each resting their inner hand on a grounded shield and holding a spear in their outer hand. Between the two figures stands a single legionary standard, distinguishing this type as the later single-standard variant of the GLORIA EXERCITVS series. The exergue bears the mint mark of the Nicomedia mint. The circumferential legend GLORIA EXERCITVS, meaning 'Glory of the Army', is divided as GLORI-A EXER-CITVS around the reverse field.
