| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Constans facing right, portrayed with youthful features and elaborately rendered hair beneath a pearl diadem. The effigy fills much of the field, with the paludamentum visible at the truncation. A beaded border frames the design. The Latin legend DIV N CONSTA-NS P F AVG runs around the periphery, identifying the emperor with his imperial titles of pius and felix Augustus. |

| Reverse description | A Roman soldier, helmeted and in military dress, stands facing left in the center of the field, holding a labarum (chi-rho standard) in his right hand and resting his left hand on a shield at his side. To the right, a smaller figure of a barbarian warrior kneels in a posture of submission, turned toward the soldier. The scene conveys Roman military supremacy and imperial propaganda. The divided legend FEL TEMP - REPARATIO flanks the figures at left and right, with the officina letter and mint mark ASIS (with an inverted letter denoting the officina) visible in the exergue. |
