| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constans facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style with finely detailed ridged drapery and armour. The emperor wears a pearl diadem, and the bust is depicted with characteristic late Constantinian portraiture. The circumferential Latin legend reads D N CONSTA-NS P F AVG, distributed around the bust from lower left to lower right. The flan is slightly irregular, typical of mid-fourth-century hammered bronze coinage. |
