Reverse description The vow inscription VOT V is displayed in two lines within a laurel wreath tied at the base with a ribbon and surmounted by a jewelled finial. The wreath is rendered with characteristic late Roman stylization, its branches meeting at the top and bound at the lower extremity. The mintmark and officina letter appear in the exergue below the wreath, identifying the issue to the Cyzicus mint. The composition is centered within a beaded border and represents the imperial vow formula commemorating the completion of a five-year vow.
