Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Arcadius facing right, adorned with a pearl diadem and paludamentum. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the late antique imperial style characteristic of the Theodosian period, with carefully delineated hair and military dress. The surrounding Latin legend reads D N ARCAD-IVS P F AVG, disposed clockwise around the bust within a beaded border. The flan is irregular with some weakness at the edges, consistent with hammered late Roman bronze coinage.
