Beschrijving voorzijde Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Arcadius facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Theodosian period. The paludamentum is visible at the shoulder, and the pearl diadem is a distinctive mark of the late imperial effigy. The surrounding Latin legend reads DN ARCADIVS P F AVG, identifying the emperor with his title of Dominus Noster and the epithets Pius Felix Augustus. The flan is irregular and the surface shows typical late antique patination with areas of olive-green and brown encrustation.
Schrift voorzijde Latin

Beschrijving keerzijde The emperor stands facing, head turned to the right, depicted in military attire and holding a labarum-style standard in his right hand and a globus (orb) in his left, symbolizing imperial authority over the Roman world. The reverse legend GLORIA-ROMANORVM, split across the field, proclaims the Glory of the Romans, a common type of the Theodosian dynasty. The exergue contains the mintmark of the Alexandria mint with the second officina designation, recorded as ALEB. The composition reflects the propagandistic imagery of late Roman coinage, emphasizing the emperor’s role as defender and ruler of the empire.
