Not a Federal Reserve Note or any instrument of the U.S. Treasury — this is a novelty or fantasy item produced to mark the May 2011 death of Osama bin Laden. Such pieces circulated widely as souvenirs in the weeks following the announcement of Operation Neptune Spear, printed by commercial novelty firms rather than the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
