| Description du revers | The reverse displays the Great Seal of the State of North Carolina in high relief. Two allegorical female figures occupy the central field: Liberty stands at left holding a pole topped with a liberty cap and a constitution scroll, while Plenty sits at right holding a sheaf of grain with a cornucopia and a ram at her feet. A banner inscribed MAY 20. 1775 appears between the figures. The circular legend reads THE GREAT SEAL OF THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA around the upper portion, and ESSE QUAM VIDERI with flanking stars along the lower border. |
