Obverse description Apollo, nude, striding vigorously to right, his hair bound with a taenia; in his upraised right hand he holds a laurel branch, while his outstretched left arm supports a small daimon (eidolon) running to right. The figure is rendered in the early Classical style with strong musculature and confident linear movement, characteristic of the Magna Graecian die-cutting tradition.
