Obverse description Nude youth, seen from behind and turning to face forward, riding a horse galloping to right; the rider is depicted in dynamic pose with outstretched arms, the horse shown in full stride. In the lower field, beneath the horse's belly, a small lambda (Λ) serves as a control mark. The composition is rendered in the accomplished South Italian Greek artistic tradition, with fine attention to musculature and movement.
