The tresses are rendered in deeply engraved wavy locks swept back from the face and gathered in a voluminous mass, with individual strands delineated with exceptional artistry. The portrait occupies the full flan, with the facial features — a graceful profile, delicate lips, and a softly rounded chin — executed in a naturalistic idiom characteristic of the later Classical period.
