Reverse description A tripod lebes displayed facing, with a cauldron surmounted by a Doric crown finial atop the vessel, flanked by two volute-decorated legs terminating in ball feet at the base. The tripod is rendered in precise architectural detail with a central vertical strut and scrolled stretchers between the legs. The ethnic inscription KPO is placed vertically to the left of the tripod, and the letter Delta (Δ) appears to the right, together forming the city ethnic KPOΔ for Kroton. The design is set within a slightly irregular round flan showing attractive iridescent toning.
