Obverse description Head of Demeter facing right, her hair elaborately arranged in rolled locks bound with a grain wreath, with loose tresses falling behind the neck; a pendant earring is visible at the ear. The engraving is rendered in the fine South Italian style characteristic of the mid-fourth century BC. The magistrate's monogram KPI appears in the lower left field.
