Obverse description Laureate and bearded head of Zeus facing right, rendered with exceptional naturalistic detail; the god's long, wavy locks and full beard are finely engraved and flow elaborately across the field. The portrait is executed in the high-relief South Italian Greek style characteristic of the late Classical period. A dotted border frames the periphery of the flan. The ethnic legend ΛOKPΩN is inscribed to the right of the portrait in the field.
