Opmerkingen

Nixdorf Computer AG, based in Paderborn, produced test notes like this one for calibrating and verifying the operation of their currency-handling machines — banknote counters, sorters, and dispensers sold to banks across Europe. These pieces were never intended for circulation and carry no monetary value; they exist purely as mechanical surrogates, designed to replicate the physical handling properties of real currency without reproducing any actual issue.

Nixdorf was acquired by Siemens in 1990, becoming Siemens Nixdorf, which later evolved into Wincor Nixdorf. Test notes from the original AG period are increasingly difficult to source intact.
