Reverse description A detailed perspective view of the newly constructed Berlin sluice, flanked on both sides by rows of townhouses lining the canal. Sailing vessels and barges with cargo are depicted in the foreground on either side of the sluice gate. The date M. DC. XCIV. appears in the exergue, and the engraver's initials R.F. are visible in the lower field. A partial Latin legend runs along the upper rim.
