Obverse description In the foreground, a cyclist in racing posture pedals his bicycle to the right; above him, a winged allegorical figure of Victory flies dynamically, extending a laurel branch in her left hand and trailing a banner inscribed PERSEVERANCE. The background depicts a panoramic landscape with mountains, a lake, and a radiant sun. The engraver's signature M. SCHIELE appears in the lower exergue.

Reverse description The lower portion of the field bears the shield-shaped coat of arms of the canton of Neuchâtel, superimposed on a bicycle wheel rendered in low relief. A long palm branch extends from the lower left across the field, its fronds sweeping upward. The upper field is left plain, presumably for engraved award inscriptions.
