Beschrijving voorzijde	A seated allegorical female figure in classical dress, holding an open book, is depicted in left profile in the lower-left field, with laurel branches and war trophies at her feet. To her right, a maritime scene in relief shows three full-rigged sailing ships under a radiant sunrise. The legend MVSEO NAVAL and the date 1918 appear in the lower-right field, with decorative oak and laurel branches surmounting the top of the plaquette.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The Argentine national coat of arms, flanked by oak branches, is depicted in relief at the top of the field. Below, a six-line inscription in raised letters occupies the central field, with the dates 1810–1828 separated by a decorative device, and the maker's signature GOTTUZZO Y PIANA incised in the lower-right corner.
