| Opis rewersu | Incuse wheel or star pattern featuring a central boss or pellet from which approximately ten radiating spokes or lines extend outward toward the rim, dividing the field into alternating raised and recessed triangular segments. The design fills the entire flan and is rendered in crisp, deeply struck incuse relief, characteristic of the Lydo-Milesian electrum coinage tradition. No legend or inscription is present. This wheel motif is a well-attested type among archaic Ionian fractional electrum issues of the late seventh and early sixth centuries BC. |
