| 正面描述 | Draped bust of Pope Clement XII facing left, wearing papal vestments including the camauro and mozzetta, rendered in low relief. The pontifical effigy occupies the central field, with mintmaster initials positioned below the truncation. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, separated from the bust by an inner border. The date appears integrated within the legend at upper right. |

Clement XII — Lorenzo Corsini — was elected in 1730 at age 78, already partially blind and governing increasingly from his bed. The Bologna mint continued striking under his authority throughout his pontificate, though effective administration fell to Cardinal nephews and curial officials well before his death in 1740. The muraiola denomination itself was a product of Bologna's semi-autonomous monetary tradition, persisting long after similar billon fractions had been abandoned elsewhere in the Papal States.
Chimienti lists three die varieties for this type across entries 835, 836, and 837.
