| Obverse description | The Papal emblem of the crossed Keys of Saint Peter, tied at the centre with a cord and tassels, occupies the central field. The keys are depicted in saltire with their bows uppermost, rendered in fine detail with ornate wards. The pontifical legend BE·NED·XIV is distributed around the upper periphery within a beaded border, while the date 1748 is divided across the lower field on either side of the key shanks. |

| Reverse description | The denomination is stated in three lines of bold Roman capitals across the plain field, reading DVE / BAIOC / CHI, representing the Italian-language inscription for 'Due Baiocchi' (Two Baiocchi). The lettering is large and simply presented with no additional ornament, filling the flan within a beaded border. |
