Reverse description Reverse of this large hammered silver multiple dirham, struck on a broad irregular flan. The central field carries multi-line Kufic Arabic inscriptions arranged in horizontal registers within a double circular border, citing Quranic text and the names of the Abbasid caliph, the Samanid amir, and the local ruler Al-Harith b. Harb. A marginal legend band encircles the central inscription field, partially legible due to heavy wear and a crackled silver surface. Arabic lettering at the top of the outer field remains partially distinguishable. The overall layout conforms to the standard epigraphic type of the Samanid sphere, with no figural imagery.
