Obverse description A large cicada rendered in fine relief occupies the central field, referencing Louis Sicard (1871–1946), the Aubagne ceramicist celebrated for his cicada creations. The peripheral legend reads in Occitan 'Lou Souleu mi Fa Canta' (The Sun Makes Me Sing), with 'AUBAGNE' and dates '1895' and '2015' completing the border inscription. The artist's name and dates appear as a signature in the lower field.
