| Obverse description | Hammered gold flan bearing a multi-line legend in Devanagari script arranged across the entire field, reading 'नागरी सिक्का रीवा' (Nagari coin of Rewa). The inscription is rendered in a bold, somewhat archaic Devanagari hand characteristic of early 19th-century princely state coinage. The letters occupy the full obverse surface with no central device, a typological feature common to hammered mohurs of the central Indian princely states. The flan shows the irregular outline and surface texture typical of hand-struck gold coinage of this period. |
