| Reverse description | Hammered gold reverse displaying a three-line Persian legend in Nasta'liq script within a plain field, separated by a horizontal ruled line. The upper portion records the regnal year in the Hijri calendar (sana 1176), the central band bears the auspicious accession formula 'julus maimnat manus' (the auspicious accession), and the lower line records the mint name Monghyr (Munghir) together with the regnal year 3. A small star or rosette device is visible in the lower left field. The overall strike is bold and characteristic of Bengal Nawabi gold coinage of the period. |
