Reverse description The reverse displays the state name 'Riyasat Patiala' (ریاست پٹیالہ) in large, bold Nastaliq script occupying the central field, with a prominent dagger or khanjar symbol positioned below the legend as the state emblem. The design is divided by a horizontal line, with the inscription above and the dagger device below, consistent with the traditional Patiala state coinage iconography. The bold calligraphic style and the use of the dagger emblem are characteristic hallmarks of Patiala princely state gold coinage of this period.
