| Reverse description | The reverse displays a bold mint and authority legend in nasta'liq Arabic script, enclosed within a single circular dotted border that frames the central field. The inscription 'ضرب دارالسّلطنه قزوین' (Struck in the Seat of the Sultanate, Qazvin) is rendered in deeply impressed, sweeping calligraphic strokes filling the coin's interior. A decorative dot-and-pellet border separates the central legend from the plain outer rim. The flan edge is irregular, consistent with the hand-struck hammered technique employed at the Qazvin mint. The high-relief lettering and polished gold surfaces are characteristic of late Safavid prestige coinage. |
