The arms of the cross extend nearly to the inner circle, and a small pellet is visible at the centre. The surrounding marginal legend in uncial characters reads ✠ MONETA ◦ NAMVRC❜, identifying this as the coinage of Namur. The overall style is typical of hammered billon mites struck in the County of Namur during the fourteenth century. |
